This sample course provides a sneak peek at the level of detail, format, and content type that participants can expect in MPO Institute courses. The sample course includes two modules from the following MPO Institute courses:
• Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) Deep Dive Course
• Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Deep Dive Course
Credentialing
Typically, upon completing an MPO Institute course, participants receive an MPO Institute Certificate as well as AICP credits through the American Planning Association (APA). However, no certificate or AICP credits are offered for this sample course.
Recommended Pacing | 30 to 45 minutes
Each MPO Institute course is self-paced, meaning participants can take it at any time while the course is open. Because of the subject matter and level of detail, the MPO Institute team typically provides recommended pacing so that courses can be spaced over several weeks, allowing time to absorb the material. This short sample course should require less than an hour to complete.
Recommended Learners
This course is open to anyone who would like to explore the MPO Institute material before enrolling in a course. You do not need to work for or with an MPO to register for any MPO Institute courses. However, this sample is specifically built with the following audiences in mind:
